LayerZero ZRO jumps 24% in week, nears $2.50 resistance

LayerZero’s ZRO token climbed close to $2.50 on October 12, 2026, after a sharp week of trading. CoinGecko data showed the token up 14.91% in 24 hours and 23.80% over seven days, at about $2.37. Market value reached roughly $940 million. The daily range ran from $2.01 to $2.48, near the top of its weekly band of $1.89 to $2.48.

Trading volume and resistance

Volume also rose. One supplied snapshot put 24-hour turnover at $158.67 million. A separate CoinGecko reading showed $144.65 million, up 163.10% from the previous day. The two numbers differ because market snapshots change, but both point to more activity. On Binance’s daily chart, ZRO traded at $2.373, with an intraday high of $2.483 and a daily gain of 12.20% at the time of observation. The immediate resistance zone sits around $2.40 to $2.50. A move above that area could open $2.60, though nothing is guaranteed.

Chart signals and risk

Crypto analyst Crypto With Gopal flagged a rising wedge on the daily chart. The token was near $2.396 and moving between two upward-sloping trendlines that had started to converge. A rising wedge can appear during an uptrend, but it may also warn that buying momentum is weakening. The analyst said a sustained break above $2.50 would be bullish, while a drop below $2.00 could set up a pullback toward $1.20. Those are possible scenarios, not confirmed targets. Technical readings showed ZRO near the upper Bollinger Band at $2.394. The middle band was $1.865, and the lower band was $1.337. The daily RSI hit 74.43, above its 73.58 moving average and above the usual overbought line of 70. That suggests strong recent buying, but overbought conditions alone do not mean a reversal is coming. Support may appear near $2.20, then $2.00, with the middle Bollinger Band as another reference if sellers take control.

Interoperability and security updates

Beyond price, LayerZero’s cross-chain messaging remains the core investment case for some analysts. Jus7Degen called ZRO one of the clearest infrastructure bets on a multi-chain market, pointing to Ethereum, Solana, Base, Arbitrum and BNB Chain. The analyst rated narrative, utility and adoption at 9/10 each, with medium-high risk. LayerZero has also announced Bridge Sentinel, a security-focused Decentralized Verifier Network run by Blockaid. It screens cross-chain messages using real-time threat intelligence before execution. In August, the ATLAS plan said ZRO would support staking and gas payments, with 75% of eligible trading fees after venue rebates used for ZRO purchases and burns. Stargate holders can convert STG to ZRO until December 15, 2026. The token remains far below its $7.47 all-time high, about 68.4% lower, but well above its record low.
