XRP Analysts Watch $1.48 and $1.55 as Price Tries to Recover

XRP is trading at $1.37 as of press time, down 3% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. The price sits at a spot that analysts say could decide whether the recent downtrend fades or continues. Two market watchers, ChartNerd and Cryptoinsightuk, are focused on nearby resistance levels that XRP must clear before a real recovery can take shape.

ChartNerd Watches $1.55 and the 50-Week EMA

ChartNerd says the 20-month exponential moving average is the level to watch. It is currently around $1.55, close to the 50-week EMA. The 50-week EMA has acted as resistance since XRP moved toward $1.70. In August, XRP reached the 20-month EMA for the first time since January 2026, according to the analyst. In the past, XRP has struggled around this moving average before falling sharply. Because of that, moving back above it could be a positive sign.

The analyst wants to see XRP rise above both levels and hold them as support. Without that, a stronger move higher is not confirmed. If XRP fails to reclaim them, the price may fall further. ChartNerd’s long-term chart shows past examples where XRP moved above the 20-month EMA before making larger gains. That does not guarantee a repeat, but it explains why the level matters.

Early Signs of Recovery

ChartNerd also looked at recent price action. XRP had been making lower highs and lower lows, a pattern that points to a downtrend. The picture started to improve after XRP moved above $1.39. Since then, it has broken above several previous highs and may now be forming higher lows. This could mean the downtrend is weakening, though it is not yet a full reversal.

Cryptoinsightuk Flags $1.48

Cryptoinsightuk sees $1.48 as an important level. The analyst currently calls XRP’s trend neutral. XRP has moved above a previous high, but it needs to rise further to confirm a stronger uptrend. A break above $1.48 would put the next target near $1.58. If price keeps climbing, the next major target would be between $1.70 and $1.85.

The analyst also pointed to comments from U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent about possibly buying more U.S. Treasury bonds. That could be positive for the crypto market, though the link is not direct and depends on broader market reaction.

What Would Confirm the Move

Both analysts agree that XRP is showing signs of recovery, but it still needs to prove the uptrend is real. Clearing $1.48 would be a positive step. Moving above the $1.55 20-month EMA and the 50-week EMA would be a stronger signal. Until XRP clears those levels and holds them as support, another pullback remains possible. If it breaks higher, $1.58 could be the first target, followed by $1.70 to $1.85.
