Stellar XLM climbs 26% in a week as XRP surges

Stellar’s XLM token has been moving in step with XRP, and the pattern continued this week. Over the past seven days, XLM rose about 26%, climbing from $0.1534 on August 19 to around $0.1935 by August 25. Its market cap reached $6.69 billion. Trading volume in the last 24 hours stood at $250.88 million at press time.

The move came as XRP itself surged roughly 46.65% in the same period, trading at $1.46. The broader crypto market also helped, with total market cap adding over $420 billion in about a week, from $2.286 trillion to $2.706 trillion. So XLM wasn’t alone, but it did outperform many midcaps.

Behind the rally

The token’s rise isn’t just about following XRP. Stellar has been seeing more use in real-world asset tokenization. According to data from RWA.xyz, RWA holders on Stellar increased by 3.49% over the last 30 days, reaching 19,139 on Tuesday. The network’s Distributed Asset Value, which tracks RWA tokens using Stellar as a distribution layer, edged up 8.2% in 30 days to roughly $3.29 billion. Stablecoin holders also rose 2.56% to 698,290.

These numbers aren’t massive. But they show slow, steady adoption. I think that matters more than a single price spike, especially for a network that has sometimes been overlooked in favor of its larger rival.

What analysts are watching

Crypto analyst Celal Kucucker expects XLM to reach $2.50 in this macro bull market. He also noted that Stellar has the cleanest chart in the market and mentioned the possibility of a 15x move. That kind of prediction is hard to verify, but it shows some traders see room for more upside if the market cooperates.

Still, there are risks. XLM’s price remains closely tied to XRP and the overall mood in crypto. If Bitcoin pulls back or regulatory news shifts, the rally could stall. The adoption growth is promising, but it hasn’t accelerated dramatically. It feels like a slow and steady build rather than a sudden breakout in fundamentals.

What’s next for XLM

The short-term path for XLM still depends on momentum. The token has held gains well, but whether it can push toward $2.50 depends on sustained interest in RWA tokenization and stablecoin use on Stellar. The next few weeks will show if this is just another XRP-led bump or something more durable.

For now, the numbers are clear. XLM is up, the network is growing, and the broader market is supportive. But as always in crypto, things can change quickly. Keep an eye on volume and broader sentiment.
